With the mission of exhibiting the arts from Africa, Asia and Latin America, the Fowler is open to not only UCLA students but also the public.

With more than 750,000 sculptures, tools and masks, the Fowler Museum shows off some of the word's most exotic art inside one of UCLA's traditionally elegant red brick buildings. Since the museum is dedicated to showcasing art and artifacts from Asian, African, Native and Latin American cultures, the Fowler's collection is an expansive and colorful one, including everything from African regalia to Day of the Dead figurines. The Fowler also houses a huge collection of textiles and an impressive collection of American and European silver—museum-goers can even see silver fashioned by American icon Paul Revere. In addition, the museum boasts 600,000 archaeological objects dug up in the United States, Mexico and Sudan (the Fowler serves as the repository for UCLA's archaeological research laboratories). Check out the Sunday afternoon "Kids in the Courtyard" series, where art has never been more fun.
