Museum of the American WestThe museum pays tribute to spaghetti westerns and Native American culture. Admission is free every second Tuesday of the month and every Thursday from 4pm-8pm.

Pacific Asia MuseumThe museum is home to one of the largest Asian antiquities collections in the southwestern United States. Admission is free every fourth Friday of the month.

Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA)After seeing Mary Cassatt's "Mother About to Wash Her Sleepy Child," visitors can also see the plaza where Steve Martin roller-skated in L.A. Story. Admission to the museum's galleries is free every day after 5pm, and all day on the second Tuesday of every month.

Norton Simon MuseumRaphael, Botticelli, Rembrandt, Renoir, Monet, Degas, Picasso and Van Gogh--they're all here. Admission is free the first Friday of every month from 6pm-9pm.

Hammer MuseumOccidental Petroleum founder Armand Hammer left his collection of Impressionist and Post-Impressionist paintings, including work from Monet, van Gogh and Pissarro, to the general public. Admission is free every Thursday.

The Getty CenterReasons to visit include Claude Monet, Andy Warhol, Walker Evans, Eugène Atget, Edmund Teske and Weegee. Admission to the Getty is always free.

Getty VillaModeled after a Roman villa, this branch of Getty's collection focuses on ancient Greek and Roman art. Admission to the Getty Villa is always free.
