This final resting spot for Douglas Fairbanks, Tyrone Power, Cecil B. DeMille, Janet Gaynor and Rudolph Valentino was later transformed into a modern, interactive burial ground complete with flat-screen TVs. Only in LA.

After it was featured in the HBO documentary The Young and the Dead, Hollywood Forever drew its own fans, in addition to those who attend services and visit its passed-away movie stars. The site also plays host to Cinespia, the series of Saturday-night movie screenings that takes over the cemetery during the summertime. Those who aren't creeped out too easily bring along blankets, bottles of wine and picnic dinners to feast on as they watch cult classics like Invasion of the Body Snatchers. But the oddball entertainment isn't limited to just the summer months; every day, videotaped life stories of the dead folks play for visitors on stone-embedded screens.
