Porn publisher and First Amendment activist Larry Flynt created a casino that stays true to the Hustler name: gaudy, provocative and fun in a tasteless kind of way. The circle-shaped interior is covered in purple and gold, with red-cushioned walls and Liberace-esque furniture and figurines. A fleet of flat-screen TVs broadcast sports throughout; the slick sports bar upstairs features oversized booths and a marble bar. Larry Flynt's Bar & Grill serves casual continental cuisine, while Corky's snack bar delivers grease bombs. Shorty's gift shop peddles everything from lacy lingerie to Flynt's book, Sex, Lies & Politics: The Naked Truth. But it's really all about the card games, including blackjack, California games (like Pai Gow and Super 9) and poker (Omaha, seven-card stud and Texas Hold 'Em). The weekly tournaments draw high rollers including Flynt himself, while the party atmosphere and special events (bikini contests, all-male revues, car shows) draw a younger, more lively crowd. —Patrick Green
