Can one venue host two basketball games from different home teams, a hockey game, a major concert and a tennis match all in the same week? Yeah, they've got that.

The Staples Center is a sports and entertainment machine. Most of the time, it juggles the Lakers, Clippers basketball and Kings hockey—sometimes two games in one day. In the summer it hosts arena football's Avengers and the WNBA Sparks. The upper and lower concourses can do no wrong; the Premier and Suite levels please VIPs even in such touchy departments as dcor and food. Concerts, however, can be more hit-and-miss. Sight lines are great, but those who've sat anywhere but the sections directly facing the stage complain that the acoustics in the cavernous arena are quite poor. (Especially in the side suites!) Still, the venue attracts such huge stars that most guests are just happy to be in the building.
