With recent alumni ranging from Maya Rudolph ("SNL") to Cheryl Hines ("Curb Your Enthusiasm"), this renowned LA comedy club is a comic-making machine.

The Groundlings, LA's premier improvisational comedy troupe, has produced more than its fair share of "Saturday Night Live" and TV sitcom performers. Lisa Kudrow, Phil Hartman, Chris Kattan, Will Ferrell, Cheri Oteri, Kathy Griffin and Paul Reubens (that's Pee-Wee Herman to you) all got their start on the Groundlings stage. Stage shows vary wildly, but asses are usually laughed off. Show mainstays include the long-form improv "The Crazy Uncle Joe Show" and the weekly all-improv extravaganza "Cookin' With Gas"—past celebrity guests include Mike Myers and Quentin Tarantino. Friday and Saturday evenings are reserved for The Groundlings' sketch-comedy shows, which run for about a month. And every Friday night, The Groundlings present the late-night grab bag "The Completely Different Late Show," where audience members can expect anything or anyone on stage.
