Run-of-the-mill lifeguard station? Think again. This is one the filming locations for one of the most popular shows in TV history.

For those who grew up in villages somewhere near Siberia, "Baywatch" was a popular television series about the LA lifeguards who patrol the crowded beaches of California. The show ran from 1989 to 2001 and was the most watched TV show of all time (worldwide!) according to the Guinness Book of World Records. The 11 seasons of the series dealt with a crew of too-tanned, overly muscular and big-breasted lifeguards who spent much of the show running in slow motion to deal with drama like shark attacks, earthquakes and serial killers. We may or may not have flailed our arms in three feet of water at this patch of beach, wishing Pam were around to get us back to shore with help of her flotation devices.
