Free Yoga at Runyon CanyonWhen a good workout calls, answer it this time. It's free! ![]()
I couldn't quite believe it myself until I stumbled upon the yoga-ites in session. Of course, at the time it never occurred to me if was free. How awesome is that? Located at the general Fuller Avenue entrance to Runyon Canyon, Yoga enthusiasts congregate upon the big grassy spread on the left of the main trail. For the most part folks looked pretty with-it in their Yoga wisdom save for the occasional odd apple (i.e., the ones sitting in the grass without a mat, in the slumped over position). Sessions are in the morning and the afternoon, but I wouldn't count on anything too regular since you're not paying for...anything.
Noteworthy: Just shy of the main entrance, I came across a set up of bottles of water, apples, granola bars, etc., chilling in a cooler with a handwritten sign underneath that read: "Honor System." Where have you seen that sort of samaritanism in L.A. lately? And who, if it isn't Boo Radley, fills it with goodies everyday? These are the things I need to get to the bottom of, and perhaps Free Yoga in Runyon Canyon will assist me. --Mallory Graves WHAT: Free yoga at Runyon Canyon!
