For USC Trojans fans, the Rose Bowl Game is the gift that keeps on giving year after year after year. Usually with a big 'ol W. Well, that is until they got themselves slapped with a two year ban from all bowl game appearances back in 2010. But hey, that's in the past and 2012 will most certainly prove to be a banner year for L.A.'s unofficial football team (hope you're listening NFL!). So while you're waiting for the Trojans to dominate the Pac-12 next season, why not enjoy the fun and festivities at this year's Rose Parade? For 123 years young and counting, the Rose Parade has been a staple New Year's Day celebration, with marching bands, horses, and some of the wackiest floats ever—like an entire Rose Parade float made completely of red roses (joke!). Iraq War veteran J.R. Martinez will serve as the parade's Grand Marshall, with this year's theme being "Just Imagine…" So head on down to Pasadena next Monday and make a day out of it. The parade starts bright and early at 8am.
