It seems like the movie watching public can be dwindled down to two categories: those that like Napoleon Dynamite, and those that revile it. Sure, the beyond-quirky comedy that made Jon Heder a star does have it's strange moments ("Tina come get some ham!"). But it's also has scenes that are so off-the wall they can only be categorized as genius, like when Uncle Rico purchase a time machine on the Internet that will supposedly transport him back to 1982 (spoiler alert: it didn't work). It's been eight years since Napoleon Dynamite became a cult-phenomenon, thus ushering the word liger into ninety percent of the average moviegoers lexicon. But only now has the Fox network decided to base an animated series off it. Napoleon Dynamite will air its first episode on January 15th, thus joining Family Guy and The Simpsons on Fox's Sunday "Animation Domination" block. Before the show airs, however, the Paley Center is hosting a special advanced screening of the series, featuring a discussion with the cast and crew. And just in case you were wondering, a liger is a lion and tiger mixed… bred for its skills in magic. Watch the movie if you don't believe me.
