Former Warhol girl Betsey Johnson helped launch the Melrose shopping scene in the 1980s with the opening of this store, which still serves up her quirky and colorful designs.

Although the days of hot pink minis are mostly over (at least for now), Johnson's signature below-14 St. style translates to teeny boppers and their hip moms alike. Farther west of the thrift stores and grungy boutiques that sit between La Brea and Fairfax, but just east of Fred Segal and the high-powered furniture salons on the other side of Crescent Heights, Betsey Johnson holds her own.
