    It's little wonder that Jigsaw London chose the West Coast for its first stateside outpost; its understated classics are more sand-and-sandal than gritty-city.Jigsaw London is a welcome alternative to the trendier stores screaming out to the Paris Hilton demographic. Decorated in warm earthtones, Jigsaw's space is spare, elegant and comfortable; it's filled with lightweight sweaters, linen skirts and dresses, suede and leather jackets, jersey tank tops, muted colors and classic cuts that are anything but matronly. This is just the cup of tea for women whose love of fashion and strong sense of style means they expect their garments to remain current several years from now. (The Brentwood Country Mart location was a smart choice for a store that might have been swallowed up by the Third Street Promenade.)
