Olympians and battered backyard gardeners alike seek the magic fingers of Stan Grod and his team of Massage Masters. Grod earned his reputation during the 1984 LA Olympics, when he supervised sports massage for the games; in 2004, he continued the tradition as an Olympic masseur in Athens.

Guests don't have to be gold-medal-winning swimmers or gymnasts, though, to see the master or his colleagues. The therapeutic day spa offers facials for men and women, along with back skin treatments, waxing, mud wraps, steam baths and body polishes. But the specialty here is in a variety of massage (sports, therapeutic, Swedish, deep tissue, acupressure, pregnancy and shiatsu) meant to address ailments from shin splints and muscle spasms to post-surgical limitations and car-accident injuries. We're of the opinion that a sports stud can also be a metrosexual, so booking a massage and a back waxing is never a bad idea. —Mai Dinh
