Thanks to this swanky boutique, trend-setting Valley denizens can shop close to home for Hollywood-ready looks.

Six years ago, Melanie Shatner (daughter of William) saw that the East Valley was in dire need of a Westside makeover. After she opened Dari—full of unique pieces by local designers as well as catwalk heavyweights—others soon followed suit, making this pocket of Ventura Boulevard feel like West Third Street. The store is a comfortable, Zen-like haven with a canopied cream-and-brown brocade couch and tea service; a trip to Dari feels less like department-store shopping than perusing a trendy sister's closet. Jeans by Ksubi and Citizens of Humanity sit neatly on shelves, tailored trousers and flowy tops from Rebecca Taylor line the walls, James Perse tanks and Sonia Rykiel sweaters can be found on wooden tables. Keep an eye out for the Cosabella undies and the Rebecca Minkoff handbags.—Elisa Jacobs
