This store is not about celeb endorsements. Founded by avid skateboarders and snowboarders in 2000, WeSC established itself as a righteous place to shop in more than 15 countries before ever making its way stateside. For the moment, the only line it carries is its own.

Strangely, the counterculture skate store opened a U.S. location on Robertson Boulevard, a street known for celebrity shopping emporiums. Rather than communicate street cred with the usual graffiti seen in many skateboard shops, this one has an industrial skate park-like interior. With light wood accents and silver pipe racks, the shop resembles a place one would see a cute skater dude practicing nosegrinds. Unlike neighboring Kitson, WeSC doesn't cater to trends. It sticks to the tried and true uniform of skaters and snowboarders: hoodies, baggy slacks, graphic tees and cargo shorts. Shoppers must provide their own cuts and bruises.
