Former investment banker Nilou Ghodsi—a confessed shopaholic—has finally found a way to quench her insatiable appetite for "the perfect piece." She opened her own boutique.

After seeing the edgy fashion sense Ghodsi exerts as buyer for the store, it's hard to believe she used to wear a suit to work every day. For spring, the racks are packed with Pegah Anvarian jersey tops, Alvin Valley pants, Generra tees, sequined T-bag tunics and Notify jeans. Calling the store a bigger version of her own closet, Ghodsi chooses only lines that adhere to her tomboy-with-a-feminine-twist look. She sends a handwritten thank-you note to each new customer and manages to remember people's names—although she usually doesn't know she's helped a famous customer like Alanis Morissette, Daryl Hannah or Hilary Swank until they pull out their credit card at the register.—Mai Dinh
