La Brea's sartorial temple American Rag has moved all denim gems next door to the newly christened World Denim Bar. For jeans addicts with money to burn, shopping just got easier.

At the entrance via American Rag's knocked-out portal: a massive stuffed grizzly bear carefully styled in a championship belt. Past every special edition pair of Levi's imaginable (yes, even the Andy Warhol collection), there it is. The wall. Hundreds of cubbyholes are filled with manageable stacks of denim, segregated by brand. Label junkies will appreciate the familiar "J Brand" or "Earnest Sewn" or "Serfontaine" label fonts chiseled into metal plates above each section. The space is decorated with thoughtful photographs of ships, old Western Union telegrams, rustic globes and frames of rare dead butterflies, but these things almost go unnoticed because, seriously, there are so many jeans. There are also stacks of James Perse shirts to melt in, belts and purses to play with and a vintage collection that looks like it's made to look vintage. For those new pair of blues that look too new, a $250 Denim Design Lab Kit—including a tool that looks like it came from Home Depot—is ready for purchase. —Lien Ta
