For their boutique in Hollywood, designers William Anzevino and Richard Florence blend nature with industry, featuring an indoor tree, homemade artwork and a stylish collection of tees and design-inspired separates.

"Sometimes catastrophes become trophies," reads a line on one of Anzevino and Florence's shirt tags. Their Hollywood Boulevard boutique is far from catastrophic, however; its stone floors, brick walls and two long racks of color coordinated clothing are actually quite minimalist. But up close, the seemingly simple space and garments offer more than meets the eye. Many of the women's pieces, which range from T-shirts to jersey dresses, are cut to be worn multiple ways. We were shown one top that looked like a simple tunic on the hanger, but when adjusted could be worn off-the-shoulder, asymmetrically or even as a dress. The men's pieces aren't so convertible (what guy really needs an off-the-shoulder top?), but Anzevino and Florence do offer guys uniquely styled hoodies, jackets and graphic T-shirts (check out their most popular item, the hooded scarf). The rest of the space is inhabited by a leafless tree and wood stumps collected from a trip to the desert, a paper cutter doubling as an accessories table and artwork painted by Anzevino. The back of the store also features vintage jewelry picked up during Anzevino's trips home to Pittsburgh. Recently included in Gen Art's "Fresh Faces in Fashion," Anzevino and Florence also plan to use the boutique to host parties and events. —Enid Portuguez
