The wines at this fine shop come from exotic places like New Zealand, South Africa, France, Chile and Argentina; a few (like Rosenthal Wine of Malibu and Topanga Vineyard) are made right here in LA. The staff is just as knowledgeable as Paul Giamatti's character in Sideways, but not as cranky. Besides its wine collection, the store carries premium single-malt bourbons, tequilas and vodkas, including locally bottled vodka Modern Spirits. There are also fresh sandwiches, made with imported cheeses and deli meat, and fitting gifts for picky gourmands that come in gorgeous packaging.
