Owner Jisook Lee opened this sneaker store next to her store Black Market to create an extension of her smart, urban and often Japanese-inspired style. In short: She's beloved by sneaker freaks, shoe fanatics and all who go ga-ga over shoes. Lee carries Converse, of course, but also Reebok, Alife, PF Flyers, Creative Recreation (a favorite of Kanye West), Le Coq Sportif, Puma and Lotto. Lee infused art, life and culture into the sneaker funhouse, with mirrored shelves that display the sneakers from every angle, by bringing in designer Jeff Guga, an architect who worked at the Frank Gehry office for 10 years before branching out on his own.
