Co-eds pick up everyday staples and outfits for a night on the town at this Westwood boutique owned by Kelly Preston's cousin.

Growing up in Hawaii together, cousins Sky Reynolds and Kelly Preston were inseparable. One of them ended up becoming an actress who married Hollywood-comeback-story John Travolta; the other went to work in corporate America but always yearned to have a career in fashion. Reynolds eventually moved to LA, where her famous cousin Preston lives part-time, and opened up the boutique she'd always wanted. skyla—the name is a combination of her name and LA—carries all the popular brands UCLA students and other LA women want at the moment. Which means, of course, denim, denim and more denim from Seven Jeans, Paige Premium and Frankie B. as well as casual-wear staples like Junk Food T-shirts and 2BFree sweatsuits. The store looks like a futuristic airport terminal with a curved, tin-plated ceiling, a white tile floor and white modern tables. We don't think Reynolds asked her cousin's husband, who is an avid pilot, for decorating tips, but we're sure he would approve.—Mai Dinh
