Newly expanded to include two separate rooms for the mens and womens lines, as well as a loft level for children, Volcom's 126 La Brea store is a testament to the brands blend of youthful rebellion, artistic expression and commerce. Surf, snow and skate enthusiasts bob heads to blaring rock music while scoping stylish, functional sportswear, hanging from hooks like an art installation, to the next X-Games. Open since 2003, the store has also played gallery to artists like Kenton Parker, surfer Oska Wright, and snowboarding stars Mike Parillo and Jamie Lynn (whom Volcom sponsors). Though T-shirts, board shorts and hoodies have been Volcoms bread and butter, the store is also home to up-to-the-minute pant cuts and jacket styles chic enough that Teen Vogue recently held a fashion show there. —Enid Portuguez
