If you like the look of Silver Lake artists and musicians, why not shop where they do? Come to Mama is a vintage store that does the pre-picking through thrift shop dreck for you.

Owner Terri Mussatti used to run her shop in the basement of the Tsunami Caf. After nearly 10 years underground, she decided to go mainstream; now her store gets massive foot traffic from next door neighbors Circus of Books, Giant Robot Silver Lake and menswear store Hung on You. She never anticipated what a storefront could do for her! Mussatti stocks her stop with cherry-picked 1960s and '70s vintage pieces, local designers, hard-to-find labels like Jose Arellanes, who makes rock 'n roll leather bags and clothing, and her own line Come to Mama. She makes over vintage crinoline, slips and bustiers by tie-dying the lingerie to create her signature rainbow-colored pieces. She describes her style as "hippie-go-punky." A young Stevie Nicks would feel right at home combing her racks.—Mai Dinh
