Run by sisters Monica Gonzales and Monique Miller, Yellow is a mish-mash of high and low-end, vintage and new, and favored as a source for saavy Hollywood wardrobe scouts and celeb stylists.

Surprisingly, Yellow is almost un-designed. At first glance, it's easy to mistake the bare walls, sporadically spruced up with an article of could-be secondhand clothing and disparate Spanish tile, for a rundown thrift store. Instead, it's a source for some of the most famous celebrity stylists (like regular Rachel Zoe). It turns out Gonzales and Miller are allowing their self-described fashion-forward finds to speak for themselves. Racks are packed with fake vintage rock T-shirts by Junk Food, tanks by Free People, dresses by L.A.M.B., blouses by Paul and Joe and an occasional Cosabella bra. A large selection of bright Havaianas hang up front while vintage YSL and Ferragamos are up in the loft, along with a small selection of vintage ruffled Kenny Rogers Western shirts and pieces hailing from the 1980s. Bathing suits by Vivia and PJ Salvage undies and jammies are laid out on tables; necklaces, chunky gold bracelets by CC Skye and LV cuffs can be found in a case next to fun, secondhand junk jewelry. Though the cheap-chic mixture of old and new is a formula that equals funky fresh, we recommend keeping your distance from the tins of mojito mints for sale by the register. With a price tag that faded, they're likely to leave you just plain funky. —Lyndsey Saul
