After relocating from La Brea Avenue to a spacious loft space Downtown, Apartment 3's focus turns to hosting fashion shows and events while maintaining its tradition of fostering unique, forward-thinking design.

Tucked inside a loft building in Downtown's Artist's District, Apartment 3's new space is large, colorful and inviting for its regular clientele of fashion-forward Angelenos. Two giant (and functional) swings serve as the centerpiece of the loft, which maintains some of the playful '70s flair of its former space. Well-edited by owner Kristin Knauff, the boutique continues to mix vintage finds with pieces from local design talent. Downtown fashionistas can look forward to vibrant dresses by Zulu Rose, a smattering of adorable vintage jewelry as well as hotel-inspired looks by the in-house line, three-LA. Stylish guys can take their pick from the funky ties, hip jeans by Five Four and cute undies laid out in their respective section. If the fashion selection isn't enough to convince shoppers to stay awhile, Apartment 3 also plans to host two events and one fashion show a month. —Enid Portuguez
