Along with her pink hair, she's also known for her whimsical jewelry and her popular design collaborations with Hello Kitty and Barbie. Your pink hair has become your trademark. How did that come about and where do you go to get it done/maintained?We all have a signature color that we love, and mine is fuchsia. My stylist Tats at Steam Salon developed a nice recipe for my color; it’s called Tarina Pink and it’s a top secret!
2.
Where do you shop for outfits to match your ‘do?I never wear bright colorsI think the hair is enough. I like to wear black and grey or deep blues to compliment my hair and jewelry. I love this shop called Creatures of Comfort on Melrose. They carry my new favorite designer, Alexandre Herchcovitch, and another favorite, Karen Walker.

Your Melrose shop carries your assorted collaborations with Hello Kitty, Barbie, Queen Alice. Do you have a favorite among them all?No favorites, I love them all. Right now I am really into our Tokyo Hardcore Neon Lucite collections. I always wear an “I Love You” necklace.

Your showroom is Downtown. Do you have any favorite hangouts there?Chef Fred Eric's Tiara Café on 9th Street. It’s a sweet, sparkly place to have lunch or satisfy your sweet tooth. My favorite thing on the menu is the Chicken Yaki Katsu and for dessert I just stop by and dip strawberries in the chocolate fountain.
6.
You have a girl’s day out with your daughters. Where do you usually go?The Grove and Farmers Market on Fairfax.
7.
Aside from your own jewelry and accessories, what do you like to give as gifts and where do you get them?I love the A + R store in Silver Lake. The owners, Andy Griffith and Rose Apodaca, find the most incredibly designed objects. My favorites are the Platinum Pink Pig and the Happy Dwarf and Gun ornaments.
8.
Where would you go for a dinner out with friends?Blue Velvet at The Flat in Downtown is delicious, comfortable and stylish.
