Nestled in an unassuming shopping complex on Point Dume, Jamie Malibu is the local secret for 'bu-towns best dressed who want to avoid the tourists and looky-loos that swarm Planet Blue and Madison.

On the ground floor flanked by a dry cleaners and a beauty salon sits Jamie Malibu. Wood floors and racks arranged by color hold gems from labels like Tree, Black Halo, Vivienne Westwood, Cynthia Vincent, Mike and Chris, Rory Beca, and the coveted deconstructed Victorian-esque threads of Gary Graham. Jewelry, shoes and basic tees and tanks are up front., as is Jamie herself, along with her Special Ops team of stylish ladies (who are more like personal stylists than sales people) who help customers look their best rather than coerce them to just buy, buy, buy. And then there are the sales. Jamie consistently has a frequently replenished rolling sale rack that sits outside her door. Expect double-take worthy price tags that are often slashed beyond 70 percent. Everyone we know has heard our tales of finding a $600 Rozae Nichols dresses for $40—just to drive the point home, a week later we spotted the exact same dress "on sale" at Madison for $280.  —Lyndsey Saul
