Like his curving cursive signature, Phillip Lim's Robertson Boulevard flagship—located in the non-Kitson section of the strip, above Beverly—is a lumpy labyrinth, complete with strategically placed mirrored walls that reflect his fashion forward designs for eternity.

Almost disorienting at first, the boutique has the same which-way-do-we-go-from-here effect experienced when entering a maze. But rather than weaving through hedges, instead get lost among racks of gorgeous clothing.  Acoustic foam pyramids line the interior walls of the 5,000 square foot space and chambers with built-in cut outs (a popular architectural element these days) hold various accessories—sunglasses, pony-hair clutches and cashmere travel blankets with matching eye masks. Like in any maze, dead-ends are inevitable, but who can complain with so many pretty pieces to peer at? Among the cardigans, coats and slim-fitting pants for men and women, we spied a slouchy black cashmere sweater with off-center buttons down the back that allow a flap to peel back, revealing a peek of nude sequined fabric underneath.The front chamber holds samples of the upcoming season, though nothing is for sale yet, anything you just gotta have is available for pre-order. Another nook houses Lim's newest venture—mini-me versions of big girl designs that are so adorable even an 18-month-old girl can appreciate it (we heard such a girl cried after having to take off a wool swing coat her mom had her try on). As far as high-end designer goes, prices aren't too outrageous, with shrugs at about $200 and dresses close to the $400 mark. Dressing rooms are equipped with a pair of heels so that any piece tried on can be given the full effect. And, really, the only wrong  turn anyone could make would be looping back and out the front doors empty-handed. —Lyndsey Saul
