Hello out there in radio land! 

Here's a smattering of events we covered on yesterday's KFWB 980 on-air segment of upcoming local happenings.  We do this every week.  Tune in at 2:32 (4:32, 6:32, etc) on Wednesdays and listen to us sound awkward.  It's a hoot.  We know the list isn't formatted pretty.  We love it just the same.



1) DEPECHE MODE TOUR OF THE UNIVERSE - They canceled this week in San Fran (doctor ordered vocal-rest for Dave Gahan) but DM is scheduled to play the Hollywood Bowl two nights this week (Sunday 16th and Monday 17th). Hopefully it will happen. Much anticipation.

2) AUSTRALIAN WINE TASTING - at Cheese Store of Beverly Hills on Wednesday and Thursday. $50 per person and you'll get to sample a selection of Australian wines perfect for late summer. each wine will be balanced and paired with complementing cheeses. 7PM-9PM

3) DOWNTOWN ART WALK - Noon til 9pm on Thursday, free, over 40 open art galleries, "The Downtown Los Angeles Art Walk is a free event held every second Thursday afternoon and evening in and around the Historic Core's Gallery Row neighborhood. For this one night each month, Downtown LA returns to its historic pedestrian-based culture, a vibrant scene that is itself a draw for locals and tourists seeking an authentic urban experience. Launched in 2004 by the then-marginal community's pioneer gallerists, Art Walk has become a grassroots urban success story, with upwards of 10,000 people coming out each month to see the newest art exhibits, enjoy the bustling street culture, eat, drink and socialize."

4) IT MIGHT GET LOUD - THIS.FILM.WAS.FREAKING.AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! the hardest working documentary in show business opens on friday in LA and NY. film about the electric guitar through the experience of three rock icons from three diff rock generations: JIMMY PAGE, THE EDGE, JACK WHITE

5) VENICE BEACH SUMMER FESTIVAL - Saturday and Sunday 9AM-7PM. Venice's biggest summer festival. Expecting more than 15,000 people to attend, Over 100 vendors, All day stage events for kids and family. Magic, sunshine, and beachy goodness for all.
