The LA Phil loves California almost as much as you do, and as part of the ongoing West Coast, Left Coast series, they're presenting an evening of Cali-centric music called "Songs of the Sun" featuring originators of the sunny, sandy sound. 

Beach Boys brain Brian Wilson headlines with the help of Americana posterchild Dave Alvin, The Living Sisters (Inara George, Eleni Mandel, Becky Stark), and Paul Simon's son, Harper. 

This foray into SoCal's sonic gold landscape was curated by the Phil's creative chair John Adams who's set the focus "on California as a land of possibility, a place where creative renegades have enjoyed a wide open and welcoming environment." Amen to that.
