Cigar and Whiskey "Nosing Nights" at the Langham Huntington, Starting September 10
Starting this Thursday, and continuing on the second Thursday of every month, The Bar at Pasadena's Langham Huntington Hotel will be hosting a whiskey and cigar tasting featuring two glasses of featured spirits and one complimentary cigar to enjoy there with another hand-rolled cigar to take home. There will also be specially paired hors d'oeuvres from the hotel's Dining Room restaurant, and live music after educational talks by whiskey and cigar specialists. The evening runs from 7:00-9:00pm, and costs $60 per person plus tax and gratuity. Stay classy, Pasadena.

Half-Time Hilarity and Post-Game Specials Menu at Henry's Hat, September 14
Just in time for the first Monday Night Football games of the 2009-2010 season, this new Studio City gastropub is launching a stand-up comic series to perform 5-minute sets during the game's half-time. Then following the game, Chef Nick Cobarruvius will serve up a weekly special "highlights" menu that might include favorites like his smoking hot chili con queso with molten cheese and salsa. Sounds like a touchdown to us.

Feast of San Gennaro at Dominick's and Little Dom's, September 15-18
Dominick's and little sib, Little Dom's, keep it in the family and take it to the street (food) as they celebrate the traditional Italian feast of San Gennaro next Monday-Thursday. Both restaurants will be offering special menus of Italian-American street food in retro red-and-white paper baskets. Diners can enjoy mouth poppers like fried clams, roasted tomato and artichoke focaccia, grilled steak with smoked mozzarella, and traditional zeppole donuts and gelato for dessert, all for discount prices $8 and under. The menu is only available at dinner.

"Killer" Deal at The Hideout, September 16
Taking advantage of its proximity to the Hollywood Bowl, The Hideout at the Hollywood Heights Hotel is hosting a "Killers"-themed party from 10pm-midnight the night that the rock group plays the Bowl next week.
