The Rendezvous Court at Downtown's majestic Millennium Biltmore is the sort of touristy activity that even locals thrill to. Afternoon Tea is traditional and, frankly, nothing special from a culinary point of view. But the Rococo room and the low price make for bargain elegance.

The Victorian Tea, which is served with the usual scones, Devonshire cream and preserves, crustless sandwiches and pastries (plus the namesake beverage, of course) is $22. For $26, the restaurant throws in a glass of sherry, sparkling wine, or a mimosa. Exceptionally, there's a lower-priced Princess Tea for just $18, which comes without the sandwiches. It's a lot of glam for not a lot of clams.—Laurie Pike
