The Hyatt Regency just spent thirty million dollars on its recent (and almost finished) renovations. When you’re home to celebrity-studded award galas, host to every US president for the last four decades, and neighbors with CAA and Tom Cruise’s new offices, you’ve got to look your best.

With over 100,000 square feet of meeting space and the largest ballroom in Los Angeles, business travelers and high-profile CEOs in town for conferences make up the majority of the hotel’s during-the-week guests. But the Hyatt Regency also caters to tourists and locals, offering access to a brand-new on-site Equinox Fitness Club + Spa and the nightspot X Bar (Century City needed a cool bar), which will open soon and aim to get in on the new CAA action. Every one of the seven hundred and twenty-six rooms includes a balcony and a flat screen TV and an iHome. Despite its futuristic-looking check-in counter and Starbucks, the forty-year-old property has maintained some of its retro appeal, with a front-and-center lobby bar (the first ever in a hotel) and poolside cabanas. The hotel’s restaurant, Breeze, is a popular destination for the Century City office crowds, so make a reservation before you come down in your jammies to grab a bite.—Tara Tyson
