Service is everything at this small hotel, once an apartment building. The recently renovated rooms have huge, luxurious beds—and "minibars" with free snacks, sodas and water—but its the service that draws repeat guests. Glasses of limonata await arrivals, as do Popsicles and chilled towels around the pool on hot days; visitors arriving in LA for a special occasion such as an anniversary will be treated to a cake from Susina Bakery. Staying at the hotel gains guests access to the Magic Castle Club, which is one of the harder tickets to score in Hollywood. (Reservations are needed and a door charge does apply.) A table with a view can also be arranged at sister property Yamashiro.
