The Beverly Wilshire is a reliable old-guard hotel for Hollywood royalty that has recently gone through many improvements. Ask for a room in the Wilshire wing, the older but more recently updated section of the hotel. This wing also houses the ForbesLife Penthouse and Terrace, a luxurious event space that has recently hosted Prince’s Grammy party and Jamie Foxx’s birthday. The Blvd, the restaurant at the front of the hotel, is a favorite of Beverly Hills mascots like Larry King, while the brand-new Cut, a pristine steakhouse from Wolfgang Puck, is popular with the Brangelina/TomKat section of Hollywood. Service throughout the hotel is eager to please and detail-oriented. The pool area has cabanas with TVs, champagne, and foot massages included (its pricey!), but even if you dont splurge, youll still enjoy this replica of one of Sophia Loren's backyard pools. Be sure to visit The Spa, where a steam room and meditation room with ample snacks are part of the treatment. —Katherine Spiers
