The Mosaic Hotel aims to impress with luxury, which is why guests at the hotel can rent a Mercedes, get passes to Sports Club/LA, or order off-menu in the restaurant.

Surrounded by various shrubberies, this hotel feels a million miles away from Rodeo Drive. (Actual distance: five blocks.) The hotel takes its name from the mosaics throughout the hotel as well as its philosophy: take little bits of everything to create an ideal experience, whether it's ordering whatever you want from the kitchen or being picked up from LAX in the car of your choice. The hotel is so focused on customer service and individual needs that we wonder how often demanding guests take advantage of the "whatever you need" vibe. Still, employees seem perfectly happy to accommodate any request. The hotel's small size precludes it from maintaining a gym and a spa, but guests can temporarily join Sports Club/LA for a small fee. It doesn't get more LA than this expensive gym, so out-of-town guests get the full experience when taking advantage of that deal.—Katherine Spiers
