When the going gets tough in LA, the tough get going to this soothing seaside resort in the O.C.

With sweeping views of the ocean, three restaurants, a massive spa and 30 acres of lushly landscaped grounds, this resort makes even the most stressed-out Angeleno unclench. All 250 rooms—including 60 suites and 20 beach bungalow-style rooms—feature a soothing color scheme, original artwork by California artists (Laguna Beach is an artist's community, after all), and private balconies that look out over the Pacific. Details like marble bathrooms and feather-top beds are enough to comfort any weary I-5 traveler.

The spa has indoor and outdoor treatment rooms, three couple's suites, marble steam rooms, and earth- and water-inspired services.
