Raffles L'Ermitage Beverly Hills

Feathers don't get ruffled here

One of LA's most understated luxury hotels, with 124 rooms and suites wired for high-tech business, is also among its most celeb-filled.

With its light woods and vaguely Euro-Asian look, Raffles eschews the sort of pomp and gaudiness you find at so many Bev Hills hotels; all the low-key beige feels like the inside of Calvin Klein's head. The rooms and suites are designed for doing business, with DSL access and plain-paper printer/copier/faxes. The lobby gives way to several different areas for drinks and snacks, including the Writer's Bar, which has a fireplace. The restaurant, JAAN, serves modern French fare. There is also the RafflesAmRita spa which blends Eastern and Western face and body treatments, and a rooftop pool. Though celebs are frequently spotted at this somewhat tucked-away haven, the place becomes a veritable star petting zoo in February, when A-listers and their entourages sweep in to snag swag from clothing and accessories companies.
