Wedged in among high-profile boutiques like Valentino and Harry Winston is the unassuming Luxe Hotel, a bright and sunny boutique hotel.

The hotel's rooms are reminiscent of those of small inns in Europe, with comfortably worn furniture, tall windows and barely enough room to unpack. It's a different scene from the endless opulence of other Beverly Hills hotels, but with its own charm: The rooms have cute touches, like headboards that go the length of the wall and little snack tins on the minibars. Also charming are the room rates which are, generally speaking, quite a bit cheaper than at nearby hotels. There's no pool, but there is a sun deck, as well as skylights in the lobby restaurant. Said restaurant turns out good renditions of comfort classics like a Cobb salad laced with a hint of ginger, or mac and cheese with both blue and goat cheeses. After indulging, Rodeo Drive is just outside for all shopping and gawking needs, though guests with street-side rooms could just hang out their windows and judge passersby from above.
